Inspired by Parks and Recreation's Leslie Knope, Galentine's Day is dedicated to ladies celebrating their female friendships during a month that glorifies romantic relationships.
My friend Trudy and I conceptualized Galentine's Day from start to finish and designed almost everything necessary for the event.
Comprised of a booth at Cal Poly's UU Hour and a discussion-based event at night, Galentine's Day was hugely successful. Many women at Cal Poly appreciated the safe space we created for them, and they left feeling empowered and appreciative of their female friendships.

More Than a Motto 2015: Cal Poly's Learn By Doing Conference
"Learn by Doing permeates all aspects of academic and campus life, and the project team comprised of Cal Poly colleagues has set out to document the meaning of the university’s Learn by Doing approach to education through this expansive project that includes publication of a signature book entitled More than a Motto: The Meaning Behind Cal Poly’s Learn by Doing Signature, development of an e-book, an annual conference and an academic journal."
